Tell me what you consider about this article and also what you would like to see about home theater soon.

Home Theater Network Community Site Launches

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) December 6, 2007

A new community website focused on Home Theater Networks (HTN) has launched at http://www.YourHTN.com. Partnering with Hometheaternetwork.com, YourHTN allows its members to post pictures of their HDTVs, speakers, HTPC, receivers, and other home theater network gear. Users who post pictures and descriptions can make sure their HTN is connected correctly, show off their HTN and get their HTN ranked by the community.

The front page of YourHTN.com will have the latest post from each user’s page as well as posts from Home Theater Network HTN’s sister sites including HTPCnetwork.com, HTNnews.com, PDAphoneControl.com. According to http://www.yourhtn.com, more websites will be joining soon.

Question by paafishe: How do I hook an RF cable to an A/V Receiver that has a composite video connection???
I only have an RF antenna, and want to hook it up to my A/V Receiver. How do I do this? The Receiver only has an S-Video and Composite Input, no RF coaxial. I greatly appriciate any advice you can give me, because “home theater” is relatively new to me. THANKS!!!

The simple answer is you can’t. The S-Video and composite inputs are for video signals only, not those transmitted by RF. In order to use the RF signal, you need something that can read those signals, whether it’s a TV set or a VCR. By using a VCR, you can decode those RF signals and turn them into usable video and audio signals, which can be read by the A/V receiver.
